A very special Birthday Wish...

While most are celebrating St. Patrick's Day today, we are also celebrating my mothers Birthday! I actually get a little teary eyed righting this post (in a good way) thinking about everything she has ever done for me. Ever since I was a child she has always put us (us being her family) before her. She's an amazing Human Being with a great heart. I guess this sounds more like a Mothers Day celebration but I feel it's a great time to tell her how lucky I am to have her as a mother and that I hope she has the greatest Birthday ever!!! I can't wait for our Gourds, Bombillas and Yerba Mate tea to arrive so we can sip it and talk about all the good times :-) Love ya Mom!

I am grateful for my friends...

Hello friends!

I am feeling a little emotional today as I listen to this great song from Band of Skulls named "Friends" (click below to listen enjoy it, if for some reason it doesn't load click here to check it out).

Sometimes we forget how important people are in our lives and what they mean to us. This song makes me realize how special each and everyone is in my life. I am a very, very lucky person to have you ALL! I find it ridiculously cool how easy it is to connect these days (through Facebook, Twitter and just opening up in general). I wasn't always such an open person but over the last few years I have really come to appreciate meeting people. Even in everyday life it's great to meet people and connect! I really do believe that everyone we meet in our life is presented to us for a reason, whether that be for 10 seconds, 10 years or our entire life. So, please take some time to listen to this tune and think about all your family and friends that are here for you. And please accept my thank you and be well!

My wishes for you in the New Year...

I hope everyone is having a great time over the Holiday Season with their family and friends. Even if you are alone for the Holidays, it's not a time to feel down about that (here's a great post if you are alone and looking for some great ideas via The Goodlife Zen).

Here is what I wish for all friends, family and human beings in the year 2010:

  • Lots of Love
  • Good times and Laughs
  • Strong Health
  • Prosperity (whatever that is for you)
  • Happiness
  • Calmness and Peace

Peace,

Adrian

Family appreciation...

Hey Everyone,

It's Saturday morning and I'm a little lost this weekend. Not in a serious lost sort of way but all my family that lives here in the same city with me are gone away this weekend... Should I be worried? Maybe I did something wrong?? haha! Not quite, I don't think anyway... my mother and step-father (Eric) are off to Arizona to watch Brett Favre and the Vikings take on the Arizona Cardinals this weekend.

My mother is a HUGE Favre fan so she is pretty excited to see him play... again... She goes to see him every year since it's his "last year" of football but then he un-retires and they have to do it all over again. Her closet is also getting stacked full of Favre jerseys since he keeps changing teams every year, but that's a story for another post :-) She loves him, and will be happy to see him play and that's all that matters. The other part of my family that lives here is also gone this weekend. My brothers family is off to Halifax to visit with our father and some of their friends...

So, here I am lost without my family this weekend, other than the beautiful critters I am taking care of at the house for them (Louie, Neveah and Sydney). It got me thinking this morning about how lucky I am to have such a great family and that I actually do really miss them when they aren't around (thank goodness for text messaging, I haven't left them alone this morning lol) I've been so lucky to have great support from them through the years (and still to this day) and I really don't know what I would do without them. It's crazy to imagine that we also have so much fun together! We always have good laughs (usually at each other) and we all have a lot in common so it's always easy to find something interesting to do. I love them, I'm grateful for them and I really do miss them today and this weekend! I hope everyone is as lucky as me to have a fantastic family!

Oh and since I have Brett Favre in my fantasy pool and my mother loves him so much I hope he has a career game in Arizona this weekend! Go Brett!

Cheers,
Adrian
