New 3D TVs... really? Something on my mind...
Hey everyone! I hope all is well. I will try to keep this post short but there's been something on my mind for awhile and I read a few quotes the past 2 days from Dalai Lama that have really hit home so I feel like writing about it here. You can read it and think about it. Do something about it... or just read it and carry on. The choice is yours :) Here is the quote that I read this morning that got me thinking again:
"With the human population increasing and the gap between rich and poor increasing, the situation of the desperate will increase and there's every danger of more violence"

Just last week I was in a conversation with someone about TV's being 3-D now and it got me thinking about all the money companies put into things for research and development of these things like 3-D TV's, Apple IPads, etc. Do we really need them? Isn't HDTV enough already :-) Then I thought about all the people in the world that are struggling with things like poverty, health issues with no insurance (probably a few from the companies that have paid billions in R&D of their 3-D TV's) and some who will never know what clean water is in their lifetime. I will not rant too much about this. If you aren't aware of the issues going on around the World then you are either very sheltered or avoiding the information... I have personally been fortunate enough to travel to some parts of the Earth where life is pretty rough (yes, I said fortunate enough, it changed my life) and people don't have much for living, eating, drinking, etc. Maybe this is one of the reasons why this still hits home with me and I try to think of ways to help out anyway I can and is one of the reasons I started this humble blog. I really feel the need to get this out there and try to figure out small ways some of us can help. I am about to re-invest my $25 dollars over at Kiva (you always get your money back and keep re-investing, check it out and feel free to join our team) and that is just a small drop of what needs to be done. If anyone would like to share other ideas that would be great. Obviously, most of us don't have a lot of extra money to throw around but maybe there are other ways that if we all do a little it can make a huge difference. That's all I wanted to share, peace.
